Inspect and Protect

We have produced advice to landowners on what they should do to help ensure trees for which they are responsible do not pose a risk to members of the public.

Though accidents involving trees are thankfully rare, there are still actions landoners must take to protect members of the public - and themselves - from falling trees or branches. A new leaflet 'Inspect and Protect' explains these actions as well as highlighting other relevant information such as respecting nesting birds and  protected trees.

We would like to thank the Country Landowners Association and the National Farmers' Union for once again supporting Island Roads in our work to keep the Island's highway network as safe as possible.

You can download the Inspect and Protect leaflet here or pick up a copy from Island Roads' HQ at Daish Way, Newport.
