GROW (Giving Residents Opportunities & Wellbeing)

Road Back To Employment

Project:

The projects aims to help young people in temporary accommodation by providing IT equipment to enable them to complete CV's, job applications and access to free online courses for basic math's and English.

The provision of the IT equipment would allow those who struggle in formal settings, due to lack of confidence, to work in a more comfortable setting. The provision of memory sticks would also allow them to keep their own work and CV's. The equipment would also be available to research healthy diets and menus to enable a healthy mind.

Part of the funding is also intended to provide the young people the correct attire for work interviews as it is often the case that they do not own the correct clothing nor can they afford to purchase the clothing especially at short notice.

Beneficiaries:

Young people aged 16-25 years old. However this can vary as young people move through the supported scheme into independent living and new clients engage with the outreach support.
