IW Foundation

In addition to the massive programme of highways improvements Island Roads is currently undertaking, the company is committed to supporting the local Island community during its time on the Island. To do this, the company has helped to establish the Isle of Wight Foundation, a registered charitable trust that will focus on combining the skills of Island Roads’ staff, together with financial assistance, to help community schemes and projects on the Island.

The Isle of Wight Foundation has been jointly funded by Ringway Island Roads, Meridiam, VINCI UK Foundation and VINCI Concessions who together make up the partnership behind Island Roads.

In line with other VINCI Foundations the Isle of Wight Foundation will focus on tackling social exclusion on the Island to help give everyone a place and a role to help them feel valued in society.

The Foundation will award grants each year of between £3,000 and £16,000 to projects supporting two key themes; access to employment and building better communities. Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organisations like charities, community interest companies, voluntary and community groups.
